Wilderness Exchange Unlimited, Denver’s premier independent outdoor gear shop and online retailer, is now hiring for the following positions:
F/T Sales Associate and P/T sales Associate
Our customers shop with us because we are an independent outdoor gear shop that provides expertise, great selection, and of course, the amazing deals that we're known for. As a Sales Associate, you are carrying out this mission with every customer interaction.
Job Requirements:
1) You must love to sell and interact with people. A sales background is a must, preferably in an outdoor retail shop.
2) Extensive outdoor experience and product knowledge in backcountry skiing is essential. Rock climbing, backpacking experience is also a plus. A good working knowledge of the local nordic and backcountry ski areas, as well as the local climbing areas is highly valued. Passion for outdoor adventure sports is at the core of our mission, and the value we add to our customers' experience.
3) You must have the ability to multi-task. On a standard day, you may find yourself fitting a rock shoe, picking a web order, and answering the phone- sometimes all at the same time.
