The outdoor industry makes my life hurt
So as some of you may already know, the big Outdoor Retailer show (OR, as us insiders call it) went down a couple of weeks ago out in the SLC. My life has been a living nightmare ever since. Apparently, our fearless leaders got all tore up on that 3.2 and went on a shopping spree like a couple of malcontent trophy wives. I must give them props, however, for their largely outstanding buying decisions. Those boys know style, and they know how to coerce (guilt trip) our venders into hooking us up with ludicrous deals. As always, these preposterous savings will be passed along directly to ya’ll – the consumers at large, because you know that’s how we do.
The incoming product has been overwhelming, and I have lost sleep, hair and years off my life due to stress. I must admit, regrettably, that due to the traffic jam of new product, the majority of said product is not yet available online. I could methodically list all of the fabulous new merchandise, but to do so would be a tease, and I have a moral objection to such behavior. So in consolation, here are a few of the highlights that you can actually purchase online:
-DMM HB Brass Offset Set (#1-6) – Our entire staff rejoiced when these came in. Lisa broke down crying. Donny fell to his knees and started talking in tongues. Curtis looked kind of confused, but shed a token tear anyway. Tom took of his shirt and start spinning it around his head like a helicopter. There was a group hug, then we all went to a bar (separate bars mind you, we all prefer to drink in public solitude). It was cute.
- Salomon Men's XT WINGS – try drinking Red Bull out of one of these shoes – it will give you double-ultra-mega wings of destruction.
