Life, love, stress and setbacks… and Metolius
Sometimes I get scared. I get scared, and I worry that all the best days have gone by. Life goes by so fast; you only have one chance to make it right. Dust in the wind; all we are is dust in the wind… Sometimes we have to step back and take a cold hard look at life.
We need to take time to be grateful for all that we have, and bitter for all that we don’t have. Like me for instance, I should be thankful for all good people in my life, my health, my stunning physique; but I’m not. I’d much sooner concentrate on being bitter for all the things that I don’t have, like Metolius OFFSET MASTER CAMS. Sure, if I didn’t spent all my money on top shelf scotch and bottom shelf escorts, I may be able to afford some of these. The safety asymmetrical camming units could probably add years my self indulgent life, but that could mean foregoing instant gratification; which is something that we all grapple with.
Another example would be those new Metolius FS MINI Carabiners. Talk about lightweight: These things are lighter than my head feels when I wake up at 11:30 every morning. Sometimes I get left behind on the trail, and I become overwhelmed with self loathing. I probably should just make a point to become fitter, but instead I always start dreaming up harebrained schemes to increase my physical performance with out resorting to painstaking physical exercise. After trying nearly every dieting pill on the market, I’m beginning to think these new ultra light carabiners are my only hope.
Remember there is a means to every end that requires little to no effort, you just have to look for it, or wait for Metolius to invent it.
